Dovetail Box Making Intensive
During this four day short course you will learn the time honoured techniques of marking out and cutting dovetails to make a lidded box. In addition, you will fabricate a shoulder-paring jig and a marking-out jig to add to your workshop bench equipment, so that your future box constructions will be reliably repeatable and more effortlessly accurate.
This course offers the hand tool skills needed to build confidence and understanding to work with timber, with a maximum of four students for individual attention and sharing amongst the group. It covers the foundational knowledge and precision approach that underpins the craft of furniture making, skills that can be applied to your future workshop projects.
