Yuri Kobayashi is an internationally celebrated sculptor and furniture maker working at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship in mid coast Maine. Please join us for this unique opportunity to meet her and experience first hand the extraordinary skill and sensitivity she deploys in manipulating wood into organic forms and structures.
Yuri will host a public, live demonstration of steam bending technique so prevalent in her work, using prepared forms. This will take place in the yard at Albion Business centre. Then, following some light refreshments there will be a presentation of her work in the workshop at Unit 5.
